We hope that you found the event to be both interesting and informative.
For your convenience we have summarised the key messages from the 3 different sessions below. You will also find useful links with free trials.
BIM for Infrastructure
BIM for Infrastructure - What it is, why it’s important, gains to be made from implementation and what to be aware of before you start the transition. A guide to how Building Information Modeling applies to linear projects and why it is important to understand how moving to a BIM process can help you, our civil engineering customers, service providers and owner operators, work smarter, save time and money and creating a better legacy for the future.
BIM for Design and Construction
We have showed you the workflows to create and interrogate accurate construction models and drawings which means that you can use the same models created in the design stages for downstream use in construction and beyond. Autodesk Construction Solutions help you to understand the risk involved with any construction project and minimise or eliminate it using tools that are accessible and easy to use for the entire company and supply chain. The session showed the approach to build it twice, allowing you to link to program schedules, check for spatial clashes to identify issues before reaching the site, get quantities from model elements for earlier decision making, and use the latest technologies to streamline your handover processes.
In this session we have showed you how BIM 360 Glue and Field help you to focus on driving cost and efficiency savings across your organisation, which will allow you to accelerate the design review process, improve the quality of your construction projects and streamline the handover process into facilities maintenance for both you and your customers.
At Autodesk we are convinced that either some or all of the above sessions (depending of your line of business) can help you as an organisation to become more efficient and gain better understanding of your processes, enabling you to get better results.
Please let us know if have any further questions related to these topics or if you would like any further follow up or information for your organisation.
Thank you again for being part of the Autodesk BIM Seminar and we hope to see you again soon!
